We follow up with people a few months after their purchase, not right at the till. These notes reflect how the objects actually hold up in daily use, whether they get passed over at dinner or quietly become the favourite chair in the room.

Reviews are collected via follow-up emails three to six months after delivery. We edit only for length and clarity, and we keep the maker's name attached so you can trace the piece back to its origin.

We do not collect anonymous five-star ratings. Every quote below comes from a conversation we had with a customer, an artisan or a studio we feature. Names are kept short for privacy, but the context is real.

Ongeto Living is built on relationships with independent makers across South Africa. These are the workshops, cooperatives and design studios whose work we have followed for seasons, and whose pieces we regularly feature in our catalogue.
We visit each partner in person, check material sourcing and see how pieces are finished before they are listed. This page is a simple record of that network.
